SafeCircle Privacy Policy
Effective September 2, 2026
The short version
SafeCircle has no company server, and we collect no data.Everything the app handles — your family’s locations, saved places, drive reports, alerts, chat and voice messages, and profile photos — is stored in your own iCloud accountusing Apple’s CloudKit, and shared with the family members you invite through Apple’s iCloud sharing. The developer cannot read, access, sell, or lose that data, because it is never sent to any system the developer controls.
What the app uses on your device
- Location(including in the background, with your permission) to show your position to your circle, detect arrivals and departures at your saved places, and record drives. Location is written only to your family’s iCloud circle.
- Motion & fitness to tell driving from walking.
- Microphone only while you record a voice message for your circle.
- Photos only if you choose a profile picture.
- Notifications for place alerts, messages, and SOS.
Where the data lives
The circle is a private database in the creating member’s iCloud, shared with invited members via Apple’s CloudKit sharing. Access is governed by each member’s Apple ID. Apple’s iCloud terms and privacy policy apply to that storage. Leaving the circle removes your participation; the circle owner deleting the circle removes the data for everyone.
What we do NOT do
- No analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers.
- No accounts, no email addresses, no passwords collected by us.
- No third-party SDKs that receive your data.
Purchases
SafeCircle offers a 3-day free trial followed by a one-time in-app purchase, processed entirely by Apple. We receive no payment details.
Children
SafeCircle is intended for families. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone — including children — because it collects no information at all.
